  • Flexible measurement data acquisition of up to 32 channels
  • Extensive choice of state-of-the-art measurement technology
  • Possible installation of strain gauge measurement points

Components subjected to torsional stress are exposed to heavy strain day in and day out. To withstand this strain, durability (endurance) and breaking load can be tested in the early stages of vehicle development at the ATESTEO torsion test benches. Depending on the kind of torsion test bench, the parameters torque, angle of rotation, and frequency of vehicle components and other industrial components are measured.

At ATESTEO, component testing can be conducted on two different types of torsion test bench, depending on customer requirements. The servo hydraulic torsion test bench for torsional loads can also generate less torque owing to its advantageous drive, allowing higher angels of rotation to be tested. The servo hydraulic torsion test bench for linear loads permits testing of smaller angles of rotation owing to its high torque.

Component testing on the torsion test bench

On the torsion test bench, a wide variety of components can be tested for their torsional load. Whether for automobile manufacturers, developers of transmissions and other vehicle components, or manufacturers of components for various industries — our servo hydraulic torsion test benches can be used as you like for many customer requirements.

Servo hydraulic torsion testing according to your requirements

Torsional loads

The servohydraulic torsion test bench from ATESTEO permits accurate, this energy-efficient, testing of industrial components and components from vehicles. The servohydraulics create a variable speed system that permits low rotational speeds in addition to higher ones. The hydraulic supply of the torsion test bench is provided by a 91 litre/minute pump unit with 280 bar operating pressure and an upstream conditioning unit with two pressure accumulators. The servohydraulic torsion test bench from ATESTEO is additionally equipped with a Roell Amsler K7500 digital control system for servo drives.

Linear loads

The servohydraulic one- or co-channel linear test bench from ATESTEO is used for special customer requirements — especially when it comes to testing tasks with a high torque of up to 20 kNm. It has a freely programmable PDES test bench control system for automated operation of the torsion test bench. The hydraulic supply is provided by a 4 litre/minute pump unit with 280 bar operating pressure and a pressure accumulator. Through extension with a torsion device, static and quasi-static torsion tests up to a torque of 20 kNm can be carried out.
